Meet the Bamboo Team

Meet the Bamboo Team

Here at Bamboo, we’re a small, but perfectly formed team. We introduced you to the Founding Directors, Graham and Tim in a video blog – now we want to introduce you to the rest of the team.

Cara Williams, Content Manager

I joined the Bamboo family in September 2021. A self-confessed English geek, I love reading, researching, writing blogs, editing copy, and pretty much anything that involves words.

I’m thoroughly enjoying working with Bamboo, researching, and writing posts for the blog, and getting my teeth into their recruitment packs.

As well as copywriting, I’m passionate about charity work and have a particular interest in fundraising.

My father was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1980 and became progressively disabled as I grew up. He lost his sight and became bed-ridden in 2010.

Desperate to do something, I started volunteering as a Fundraiser for my local Multiple Sclerosis Society. Over a period of 20 years, I organised a variety of events, including Ealing’s Got Talent, Blind Beer Tastings, Short Film Showcases, and Westival (a one-day music festival in West London).

I managed to raise around £45, some of which went to my local branch and some to MS research.

When I’m not writing content, I freelance as a PA, event organiser, and social media strategist.

Outside of work, I love Pilates, weight training and going for long walks. I also try and do a ‘new activity’ each month and blog about them. I’ve tried a lot of random things, from scuba diving and sword fighting, to tap dancing, Tai Chi and aerial silks.

I’m always on the lookout for more freelance clients, so feel free to contact me at cara@bamboofundraising.co.uk if you’re in need of a blogger, social media strategist or PA!

Georgie Butler, Digital Marketing Officer

After working with children for a number of years, I left the industry to care for my mother and father, (cancer and dementia). When they passed away, I took out some time to heal and reflect.

I came to the conclusion that I’d reached my quota of drool and snot (I can honestly say I’d be quite content to never talk in a baby voice again!)

Performing Arts was, is and always will be my passion. I took up singing lessons at the age of 5 and won many local competitions. However, after a fair few failed auditions to be the next Britney Spears, I decided to don a laptop bag and become a respectable businessperson.

I’m an avid ‘tiktoker’ (alas I’m not ‘tiktok famous’), and through this I’ve developed an interest in analytics, using reach and engagement to determine the best times to post. I enjoy exploring the dos and don’ts of creating digital content, alongside the other nuggets of digital marketing.

If I’m not typing away to the beat of the extractor fan in the kitchen, or getting lost on the Tube, you’ll find me at the pole fitness studio. I’ve trained for four years, and I’m obsessed! I’m now exploring other fitness avenues like aerial silks and the lollipop.

When I’m not on the pole, I love annoying my neighbours by belting out show tunes late into the night!

Ricky, Junior Consultant

Not only is Ricky the most handsome member of our team; he’s a vital part of the Bamboo family.

When he’s not answering the phones in the office, he’s responsible for getting Graham to meetings, stopping Graham from walking in front of cars, stopping Graham falling off ledges and generally keeping Graham alive.

When he’s not at work, Ricky enjoys cuddles, treats, and sleeping.
